How long does the B Corp certification process take?
Most organisations get there in around 14 months. The timeline depends on where you’re starting from and how much capacity your team has. We build the process around your business, not the other way around.
Do we need to be a certain size to become a B Corp?
B Corp certification is open to businesses of all sizes. The requirements are tailored to your sector, size, and geographic context.
What are the Foundation Requirements?
Before the full assessment begins, every company needs to meet a set of Foundation Requirements. These cover legal eligibility, stakeholder governance, and risk profiling. We guide you through all of them in the Kick-off & Scoping phase.
What are the seven impact areas?
Under V2.1, B Corp certification covers seven impact areas: Purpose & Stakeholder Governance, Fair Work, Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion, Human Rights, Climate Action, Environmental Stewardship & Circularity, and Government Affairs & Collective Action. We help you understand what each one means for your business.
What happens during verification?
Once you’ve submitted your assessment, an independent third-party auditor reviews your evidence. We support you throughout the audit, help you respond to follow-up questions, and address any non-conformities that come up.
